STA Pool Plant Qualifications

Safe, clear and hygienic water in swimming pools, spas and interactive play features is what all pool plant operators should strive for. STA’s pool plant qualifications provide learners with the training they need to ensure the safety of all users of wet leisure facilities, whilst also complying with the health, safety and legal requirements of being a qualified operator.

Pool plant qualifications are a great progression route for those looking to gain additional leisure- and recreation-related qualifications to further their career with broader experiences in leisure management.

Following completion of water testing or treatment courses, learners can further their education and skills by moving onto the Pool Plant Operations qualification.

How will the Qualification benefit you?

Created by STA’s pool plant experts to provide you with quality training, this course is regulated by Ofqual and looks great on a CV when applying for jobs that will require water testing. The qualification gained is valid for up to 5 years.

Level 2 Swimming Pool Water treatment

Will give you the knowledge the support the management, maintenance and testing regimes of a swimming pool or spa

Level 3 Pool Plant operations

Training is in accordance with industry best practice and guidance from PWTAG, British and European Standards, HSG 179 and other HSE sources
Meets CIMSPA’s employer-led pool plant operative professional standard and the essential knowledge and skills that are needed to meet the requirements of the sectors minimum deployment standard
Will give you comprehensive knowledge on the maintenance and management of swimming pools, spas and interactive water features
It qualifies you as the responsible person for pool plant management and maintenance at your wet leisure site.

How much is the course to attend?

Level 2 Swimming Pool Water testing - £70 per person
Level 2 Swimming Pool Water treatment - £100 per person
Level 3 Pool Plant Operations - £350 per person
